Lisa Murkowski Gets Downgraded From the NRA After Her Betrayal

Lisa Murkowski Gets DAMNING News – A Serious Blow!

(UnitedVoice.com) – The National Rifle Association (NRA) has thrown its weight into November’s US Senate race in Alaska. The pro-2A group has downgraded the Republican incumbent and given her challenger its top rating. The move sends a powerful message about the risks of endorsing gun control.

Since 2019, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) has held the NRA’s “A” rating for supporting the Second Amendment. Yet, in June, anti-gun activist David Hogg tweeted that the senator was the only non-Democrat willing to talk to him about gun control after the May 24 Uvalde shooting. On June 23, she voted for the bipartisan bill created by Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) with Democrat support. The NRA opposed the bill, which expands background checks and promotes “red flag” laws; now, they’ve retaliated against Murkowski, one of 15 GOP Senators who backed it, by downgrading her to a “B.”

Former Alaska Department of Administration commissioner Kelly Tshibaka is challenging Murkowski in the state’s August 16 primary, backed by the state’s Republican Party and former President Donald Trump. Tshibaka has criticized the senator’s support for the gun control bill and made clear that “Lawful and responsible gun ownership is part of our identity here in Alaska,” and she won’t tolerate any restrictions on 2A rights. In this rugged northern state, the issue could be enough to swing Republican voters behind the challenger and end the incumbent’s often-controversial 20-year tenure.
