(UnitedVoice.com) – Here we go again. The media is doing what they do best — trying to put words in President Trump’s mouth. During Obama’s reign as president, Trump questioned and asked the former president to prove he was an American citizen qualified to be president. Some accused Trump of racism when, in fact, many considered it a legitimate question because Obama refused to release his birth certificate. Now, a law professor at Chapman University is questioning if Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) is eligible to serve as vice president if Biden wins in November.
President Trump on claims that :Kamala Harris isn't eligible to run for Vice President because she's an anchor baby: "I heard it today that she doesn't meet the requirements…I have no idea if that's right. I would have assumed the Democrats would have checked that out." pic.twitter.com/H887X43GJK

On Thursday, Aug 13, Trump was asked about the professor’s statement. The president responded as a responsible person should to unfounded rumors. He said he’d heard it was out there but didn’t know if it was right or not. He said he’d look into the matter. The media ran with the story that Trump refused to reject the claim, and therefore he was indirectly pulling another “birther” movement.
How did they come to that conclusion? Once again, they took a bias and put words in the president’s mouth.
The official story is that Kamala Harris was born in California in 1964 to parents who were born outside of the US. Because she was born in the United States, she meets the requirements to hold the office of president and vice president.
