First Lady Melania Trump unveiled the White House’s Christmas decorations and theme today, and just like her, they are beautiful and classy.
“The Spirit of America” is shining in the @WhiteHouse! I am delighted to share this beautiful exhibit of patriotism for all to see, and excited for everyone to experience the beauty of the #Christmas season! pic.twitter.com/qGxxl9qBrd

The theme that Melania chose this year is “The Spirit of America,” which goes very well with her themes from the past two years; Time-Honored Traditions and American Treasures.
This year’s decorations have a color palette of white, silver, evergreen and red. The East Colonnade has beautiful silver stars and lit glass panels that depict Christmas trees covered in snow. Other areas of the White House are decorated with red and blue ornaments, a Gold Star tree decorated by families of servicemen and some of America’s most popular landmarks made out of gingerbread.
For the official White House Christmas tree, Melania borrowed an idea from First Lady Patricia Nixon and decorated the tree with the official flower of each state.
When asked about this year’s decorations, Melania said, “This Christmas season I want to honor those who have shaped our country and made it the place we are proud to call home.”
