More Americans Reject Gun Control - Concealed Carry Surges

( – Calls for more attacks on our Second Amendment rights get louder every year, and many state and city governments are going along with it. It seems the vocal anti-gun activists don’t speak for everyone, though.

A new report shows more Americans than ever are choosing to arm themselves for protection.

The Crime Prevention Research Center is a pro-2A think tank specializing in gun-related issues. It’s been monitoring the number of concealed carry permit holders in the US since it was founded in 2013 and has been collecting data going back before that. What the data shows, is in the last two decades, the number of Americans with a permit has risen steeply. In 1999, there were 2.7 million permit holders; now there are 19.48 million — almost 8% of US adults.

Democrat-run cities are making it as hard as possible to get a carry permit, but their residents are still applying in record numbers. This could be a problem for Joe Biden. He’s not a strong opponent of the Second Amendment himself, but many of his supporters are — and that could cost him a lot of votes in November.
