(UnitedVoice.com) – On Thursday, January 21, conservative and liberal publications reported members of the National Guard who protected President Joe Biden’s inauguration were forced to vacate the Capitol building and told to sleep in a parking garage. The stories led to widespread outrage across the political spectrum. Now, states are ordering their service members home.
Texas, New Hampshire, and Florida all ordered their National Guard troops to leave Washington, DC. Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said the military members are not “Nancy Pelosi’s servants,” so he was bringing them home. Former President Donald Trump stepped up to help where the federal government failed when he reportedly offered to allow the troops to stay in his DC hotel if they needed a place to sleep.

That’s what true leadership looks like. Even after leaving office, Trump is willing to jump in and help the military. Hopefully, every governor that ordered troops to DC does the right thing and brings them home.
