(UnitedVoice.com) – Democrats have been on a mission lately to punish Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for having opinions they do not agree with. The conservative freshman congresswoman is a supporter of former President Donald Trump and she isn’t afraid to say it. She also has an activist past, like many members of the House. Now, they’re pushing to punish Greene, and it’s leaving some to wonder if the same standard will apply to Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
On February 4, Democrats voted to strip Greene of her committee assignments. The move sets a dangerous precedent. Historically, when someone does something that Congress doesn’t agree with, the party they belong to handles it internally. In 2019, Republicans stripped Rep. Steve King (R-IA) of his assignments; he went on to lose his seat as a result.
However, the Left is flexing its power by attacking Greene. This means that if the GOP takes control of the House, they can do the same thing. And who knows, maybe AOC is going to lose her assignments for attacking a senator and saying he tried to have her murdered.
I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out.
Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed.
In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign. https://t.co/4mVREbaqqm

If the Democratic Party is going to continue to attack norms, they aren’t going to like the results when Republicans have control again.
