President Trump and North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, had the world on edge as they tossed threats back and forth. Kim Jong-un entered into talks with leaders concerning an attack against Guam, and Trump responded with threats of “fire and fury”. But, Kim Jong-un had something no one expected: plans for two intercontinental ballistic missiles, each of which reportedly have the ability to reach Washington.
Jong-un shared the information concerning the missiles after a picture of him at one of his chemical research facilities was released. At least one of the missiles is a 3-stage intercontinental ballistic missile and is reported to be able to reach anywhere in the mainland of the United States.

Previously, it appeared that the North Korean leader had his sights set on Guam. For the most part, his attention was centered there when the US military and Korea held training sessions together. Jong-un stated that he saw the exercises as acts of war. However, Kim Jong-un and his advisors decided against launching an attack on Guam, with Jong-un stating that he was going to wait for the “foolish Yankee” to make his next move.

It isn’t just the US that is under threat from North Korea, either. A recently released statement indicates that both Australia and the UK may be under threat as well.

“Availing ourselves of this opportunity, we solemnly warn not only the US and puppet group but also satellites, including UK and Australia, which are taking advantage of the present war manoeuvres against the North that they would face a miserable end if they join in and play with fire by tiger moths of war.”
If the information is accurate and North Korea really does have intercontinental missiles that could reach the US mainland, the entire face of the potential for WW III has been changed. Previously, it was seen as a matter of North Korea potentially launching missiles at Guam or outlying regions of the US that weren’t attached to the mainland. Now, with new “toys,” a hot temper and very little reason to have any sense of self-control, it’s hard telling what Kim Jong-un and North Korea might attempt.
