(UnitedVoice.com) – A far-left Democrat congresswoman has attacked a leading GOP senator, calling for his resignation in an argument over immigration policy.
On April 1, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) blasted Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Twitter during a rant about immigration policy. The controversial legislator, one of the so-called “Squad” of radical socialists in the House, was complaining about the fact security exists at the US-Mexican border. This led to a tweet criticizing “Ted Cruz types… who helped create this problem in the first place.”
A reminder that your resignation is 84 days past due. At least.

The “problem” AOC was complaining about is the fact people who cross the border illegally get detained. Cruz hit back, pointing out that in 2020, illegal immigration was at its lowest level since the mid-1970s. Since President Biden took office, it’s jumped to a 20-year high. Infuriated, AOC switched to personal attacks on Cruz, dragging up his trip to Mexico in February and claiming, “your resignation is 84 days past due.” Referring to her original call for his resignation after the January 6 riots on Capitol Hill.
