(UnitedVoice.com) – An unprecedented number of undocumented immigrants have crossed the border during President Joe Biden’s time in office. They include individuals who are on the terrorist watch list. A new report from the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) reveals one of those suspected terrorists was able to roam around the country for two weeks after being released by accident. A former official is now warning about the dangers facing America.
On June 28, Inspector General Dr. Joseph V. Cuffari released the report. According to the findings, the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center (TSC) released a migrant who positively matched someone on the list. Cuffari concluded the agency released the suspected terrorist because of US Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) “ineffective practices and processes for resolving inconclusive matches with the Terrorist Watchlist.” That has reportedly “led to multiple mistakes.”
The OIG report also claimed CBP sent an email to the wrong address to request an interview with the person on the watchlist. Once they realized who the immigrant was, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) prioritized the suspect’s arrest. They eventually apprehended the man after two weeks, but during that time, ICE ran into multiple issues within its Enforcement and Removal Operations.

Mark Morgan, the former CBP acting commissioner, appeared on the “John Solomon Reports” podcast. He called the OIG report a “huge black eye” for US counterterrorism officials. He claimed the Biden Administration isn’t trying to secure the border; instead, it’s making CBP agents quickly process illegal aliens and release them.
Morgan went on to say there could be a “terrorist sleeper cell in [the US] planning the next terrorist attack,” but the government “would have no idea.” He pointed out the FBI created the watchlist to “prevent another 9/11.” He believes the way immigration is being handled now is “facilitating the terrorists,” and another September 11th could happen.
