(UnitedVoice.com) – Over the years, photos and videos of Joe Biden standing too close to women have circulated all over social media. While many from his political base have brushed it off, things started to get serious for Biden when former-candidate for lieutenant governor in Nevada, Lucy Flores, accused him of kissing her on the back of the head during a campaign event back in 2014.
And now, it seems things have gotten even more dire for Biden as a former staff assistant, Tara Reade, has filed official misconduct allegations, accusing him of pinning her against a wall and putting his hands under her skirt back in 1993.
One of the only news source to report on @JoeBiden's sexual assault allegations is Yahoo. If you supported the #metoo movement, yet think these allegations are false and "Russian plants", you are putting women down. You're not a feminist #IBelieveTarahttps://t.co/minMJzqy5n

After the allegations were made public, the Biden campaign quickly put out a statement refuting the charge saying they simply weren’t true. They fired back saying the 77-year-old former Vice President is a strong supporter of women’s rights and believes all women deserve to be heard.
During an MSNBC interview this week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was asked what she thought about Biden’s misconduct allegations especially now he’s become the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. Her response wasn’t surprising to most.
Of course, this wasn’t anywhere near her reaction when Dr. Christine Blasey Ford came forward with her story against now-Supreme Court Justice Bret Kavanaugh in 2018. She applauded and supported Blasey Ford and acknowledged her bravery for sharing her story.
She demanded a thorough investigation into what she deemed were “serious and credible” allegations and that Congress would be failing in its duty if they didn’t demand zero tolerance of sexual harassment and abuse.
It appears Biden’s allegations put the Democratic Party in a very uncomfortable situation. They’ve always imagined themselves at a higher standard. And now, that standard will be tested as they are forced to choose between supporting the #MeToo movement or backing their nominee, Joe Biden. Will they choose hypocrisy over truth? Time will tell.
