(UnitedVoice.com) – The Democratic Party’s retreat from actual democracy took another big step Sunday, September 20. Following the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) hinted she could launch another impeachment process just to stop President Trump from nominating her replacement.
Talking to ABC’s This Week, Pelosi was discussing where to go after the death of Ginsburg. Asked if she’d rule out impeachment of either the president or Attorney General William Barr as a disruption tactic, she repeatedly gave evasive answers. “We have our options,” she said. “We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now.”

Pelosi claims she’s exercising a responsibility to defend the Constitution — which, by the way, says the president must nominate a candidate for the Supreme Court when a vacancy opens — from the president’s intention to do exactly what the Constitution says.
The White House has a different opinion; a spokesman called Pelosi’s argument a “bizarre and dangerous power grab.”
It’s going to be a contentious few weeks.
