(UnitedVoice.com) – When the founding fathers created America’s Republic form of government, they knew it would require special people who could set aside their own ambitions to do what was right for the people. Liberty and freedom depend on the morality of America’s leadership. In 1798, President John Adams said that the government could not contain “human passions unbridled by morality and religion” and affirmed that our forefathers made the Constitution for a “religious and moral people.”
Doing the right thing is paramount to a productive society built on liberty and freedom. It requires being responsible and even-handed. America’s leaders are drifting further away from moral behavior that treats everyone with dignity and respect. One powerful symbol of that is the mask mandate. That may sound silly, but please follow the train of thought. This week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) demonstrated how something as small as a mask is exposing everything America needs to know about its leaders.
Pelosi’s Thirst for Power Has No End!
On Thursday, May 20, Pelosi sought to enrage and provoke her colleagues. It’s not the first time, and it won’t be the last. The difference this time is over something small and petty. Last week, the CDC revised its guidelines based on data and science. Social distancing and mask-wearing indoors and outdoors are no longer needed for those who are fully vaccinated.
Pelosi has other ideas. Instead of following the science she claims was so important over the last year, she’s undermining the vaccinations and playing overhanded politics with Republicans.
On Wednesday, the Speaker said the 25% of Congress that isn’t vaccinated are selfish and harming others. She outrageously stated that she wouldn’t allow the lower chamber to become a “petri dish.” Three Republicans were fined $500 for taking off their masks, and numerous others were warned.
So let’s get this right. When the CDC revised its guidelines, approximately 50% of the country had received at least a first shot. It’s okay for the country, but not for members of Congress to shed masks if they are vaccinated?
It Gets Better – Pelosi Sheds Mask at White House Event
On Thursday afternoon, cameras caught Pelosi at a White House event. She wasn’t socially distant or wearing a mask. In fact, she was talking to people inches away from their faces.
No more masks or social distancing at The White House

So, the House chamber is a petri dish, but the White House isn’t?
Some claim this is all hypocrisy. While that’s a part of it, that’s really not the story. It’s not even about power, control, and manipulation.
Masks are now a symbol and reminder that Democrats don’t really care about public safety. What they care about is much more sinister. They care about radically transforming the country and using the pandemic to do it. The mask is a distraction for their radical agenda. The mask fight keeps America focused on the trivial while they do the unthinkable.
Here’s the real question: Is America paying attention to what is going on? Pennsylvania’s Tuesday vote to strip the governor of his pandemic powers may be a sign of things to come. If America is watching, the mask fight says all they need to know.
