(UnitedVoice.com) – On Friday, police officers in Florida fired at a vehicle that breached a security checkpoint at President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.
According to authorities, they think that the vehicle was speeding when it came upon the checkpoint a few blocks away from the resort. Instead of stopping, it barreled through the concrete barriers and officers opened fire.
After shots were fired, the black SUV continued toward the front gate of the property. Florida Highway Patrol troopers gave chase while a Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office helicopter tracked the SUV by air. The suspects’ vehicle finally came to a stop on the property and they were arrested. The FBI is investigating the incident as well.
The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office has two women in custody, but there’s no word on injuries. President Trump was scheduled on the property later that same day.
