Biden Says We’ve Crossed The Finish Line – But Not Everyone is Happy
(UnitedVoice.com) – For nearly three years, the COVID-19 pandemic has raged, causing destruction in its path. According to the CDC, more than one million people in the US died from the virus. Still, the vast majority of those who caught the illness survived, making it frustrating for businesses and ordinary people who have been dealing with various restrictions for years at this point.
Over the last several months, the virus has mutated into a much less deadly variant, allowing the country to operate relatively normally. President Joe Biden recently declared the health emergency has ended. Now, Conservatives want to get rid of the remaining safety measures.
On Sunday, September 18, CBS aired a “60 Minutes” interview with Biden. Journalist Scott Pelley recently accompanied the POTUS to the first Detroit Auto Show in three years. Taking that as a sign the country is finally on the other side of the pandemic, the reporter asked the president to confirm his thoughts. “Is the pandemic over?” Pelley asked.
Biden responded by saying, “The pandemic is over.”
The president continued, adding that COVID-19 is still an issue around the country, but for the most part, people have given up masks. “Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape,” Biden asserted.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, also previously said the US was moving toward the endemic stage. That means there will likely continue to be flare-ups in certain areas in the future, but the accelerating, acute phase of the outbreak is over.
Calls for Action
On Monday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) responded to the remarks made by Biden, asking when the US government would welcome back into the military those service members discharged for not receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
Biden declared the pandemic is over.
So, when will he let those discharged from the military due to vax mandates return to protecting our country?

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) criticized the president for declaring the pandemic over but still using emergency powers for liberal policies like student loan forgiveness.
Joe Biden says the pandemic is “over,” but somehow relied on his “emergency” pandemic powers to “forgive” student loans for wealthy elites.

Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) also wanted to know when the POTUS intends to end the military vaccine policy. She mentioned the administration was also forcing children to wear masks in the Head Start program, a policy the administration is already ending.
Joe Biden asked Congress to pass $22 billion in new pandemic funding THIS WEEK because he said the pandemic was NOT over!
Now that Biden says the pandemic is over, he should END the military COVID vax mandate and STOP making young children wear masks in Head Start! https://t.co/vfuIzFLGJe

Biden also faces criticism from medical professionals and immunocompromised people who have pointed out that hundreds of people are still dying every day. They claim the pandemic isn’t over, especially for high-risk individuals.
Is the pandemic over?
⚠️Hell no—Not even close.
🔹 Excess mortality still exceeds THIRD global cause of death!
🔹#LongCOVID itself is a pandemic crisis
🔹Evolution of new virus variants not done yet
🔹Transmission still very high

What do you think? Should Biden lift all restrictions and requirements?
