(UnitedVoice.com) – Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Dr. Anthony Fauci have been locked in a war of words for months. The senator believes the director lied during congressional testimony. He’s calling on President Joe Biden to expel the doctor.
During an interview with “Axios on HBO,” the senator, who is also a doctor, said he thinks Biden should fire Fauci because of his “lack of judgement.” His comments come after the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which oversees Fauci’s agency, admitted that it learned EcoHealth had done gain-of-function research without its permission. The agency learned about it in August, the month after the explosive testimony between the NIAID director and Paul.
.@RandPaul says Biden should fire Fauci over U.S.-funded research in Wuhan "just for lack of judgment, if nothing else."

Fauci claimed it’s “molecularly impossible” for the US to have funded research to produce COVID-19. He said Paul is “absolutely incorrect.” He went on to say the NIH and NIAID never lied about the research. Although that’s technically true, the agencies haven’t corrected the record either.
Generally, when a person testifies before Congress and later learns what they said was false, they can correct the testimony. Fauci has not done that, and, instead, continues to lash out at the senator.
