(UnitedVoice.com) – A recent report from the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) found illegal immigrants are taking thousands of dollars in taxpayer-funded programs every year.
FAIR’s report covered 10 smaller states with the smallest populations of immigrants, both legal and illegal. They discovered the impact on the state is huge. Here are a few quick facts:
- Alaska, Maine, New Hampshire, Mississippi, Wyoming, South and North Dakota, Montana, Vermont and West Virginia were studied.
- These states have 29 cities or towns with sanctuary laws.
- Each immigrant uses up to $6,500 in taxpayer-funded services.
- The immigrants are taking jobs from Americans.
During his State of the Union Address, President Donald Trump slammed cities that do not cooperate with immigration authorities. He also assured the American people that his administration was working to restore the law and fix the immigration system.
For people who are paying for these services, that can’t come soon enough.
