(UnitedVoice.com) – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) is extremely popular within the Republican Party. His state was one of the few that refused to implement strict COVID-19 policies and, as a result, the Sunshine State is flourishing. He has also taken on Democrats over hot button issues like vaccine mandates and passports, Critical Race Theory (CRT), and social media censorship. The way he’s handled these topics and others have led to speculation about whether he will run for president in 2024. Recently, he offered insight.
On June 13, DeSantis appeared on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Features” and discussed whether he would run. The governor said he hasn’t had “discussions with anybody about anything beyond” what he’s doing now. He explained there are a lot of things currently on his plate and he wants to try to achieve more of his goals.

Former President Donald Trump has said he would consider running for office with DeSantis in 2024 if he decides to throw his hat in the ring. Although the Florida governor isn’t talking about his plans beyond his first term in office, one has to wonder if he does, in fact, have higher aspirations. One thing is for sure, a Trump-DeSantis ticket would be mighty popular within the GOP.
