Sally Yates Forced to Testify in Russiagate Probe

( – Republicans, led by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), are investigating the corrupt origins of the FBI’s Russia investigation, which was known as “Crossfire Hurricane.” Next week, Sally Yates will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee to reveal what she knows.

Graham, who’s a loyal ally of the president, is trying to get to the bottom of why the Obama administration and the FBI spied on the Trump campaign. An investigation into Russian election interference turned into the Mueller probe. And now, the Republicans are attempting to root out the corruption.

They want to hear Yates’ testimony because she was part of an Oval Office meeting in January 2017. In that meeting, President Obama and James Comey discussed Mike Flynn. Flynn had just been caught supposedly lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts.

Trump fired Yates early on because she refused to implement his travel ban. But in her brief capacity as acting attorney general, she approved the initial FISA warrant application on Carter Page. She also approved the first renewal, so she’s got plenty to answer for.

On Monday, Graham said one question he’s going to ask Yates is if she would have signed the warrant applications if she had known then what she knows now. Her testimony should be interesting, to say the least.
