(UnitedVoice.com) – Presidential candidates Bernie Sanders (D-VT) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) are facing criticism after a recent conference call.
Just one day after Iran launched a missile attack on US military personnel, Warren and Sanders participated in a conference call with the National Iranian American Council (NIAC). The call was hosted by MoveOn.org in an attempt to promote their No War Within Iran hashtag.
The founder of Turning Point USA, an organization “whose mission is to identify, educate, train, and organize students to promote freedom,” according to their website, called the Dems out for participating in the call.

The NIAC has been accused by members of the Iranian-American community, and even a former CIA, officer of working to promote pro-Islamic alliances and pushing for policies that would help Tehran’s terrorist regime.
During the call, Sanders and Warren both spoke badly about President Trump, with Warren saying, “There seems to be a pause in the hostilities for now, and I hope it endures but let’s be clear, this is a crisis of Donald Trump’s making. The first job of the President of the United States is to keep America safe, but this president’s reckless actions have made us far less safe.”
Sanders also accused Trump of lying during the phone call and made his stance on the war in general very clear.
“When I think back in my lifetime to the disastrous wars, the unnecessary wars that have taken place. I think back to Vietnam where people I knew got killed, where my generation suffered so terribly, 59,000 dead, God knows how many wounded. People still sleeping out on the streets today from that war. I think the lesson is that war should be avoided in every way that we can. War is the last response, not the first response,” adding, “I will do everything I can to prevent this war.”
MoveOn’s #NoWarWithIran hashtag is being used to promote rallies all over the US. The phone call, which was aired on Facebook Live, received more than 70,000 views and more than 7,000 callers.
