White House EMERGENCY – Secret Service Springs Into Action!
(UnitedVoice.com) – The United States averages about 43 fatal lightning strikes annually. Most of those deaths have taken place in Florida and Texas. However, recently, multiple people lost their lives after a storm in the country’s capital, and the Secret Service responded to the scene.
On Friday, August 5, lightning struck multiple times at Lafayette Park across the street from the front of the White House. Strikes hit multiple people, killing three of them. Police reported the victims were Wisconsin husband and wife, 76-year-old James Mueller and 75-year-old Donna Mueller, and Brooks Lambertson, 29, of Los Angeles, a vice president at City National Bank in DC on business. The strikes also injured two others who remained hospitalized in critical condition.

Secret Service officers witnessed the tragic incident and immediately rendered aid to the victims. DC Fire and EMS also responded to the scene.
According to Fox News, Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, issued a statement saying President Joe Biden’s administration was “saddened by the tragic loss of life,” expressing sympathy for those who died and are recovering.
The three deaths in the capital weren’t the only ones in 2022; there have been at least 10 others. Two days before the Muellers’ accidents, a bolt killed a 22-year-old man in Wyoming in a tent.
Authorities recommend people move indoors during storms when lightning is present.
