Senate Committee Subpoenaing Twitter Founder (REPORT)

( – On Wednesday, October 14, the New York Post published an article about Hunter and Joe Biden’s alleged connections to foreign lobbyists during the Obama Administration. It spread quickly across social media after the paper published it — that is, until Twitter began limiting its spread. Now, the Senate Judiciary Committee wants answers.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) said the committee is going to vote on a subpoena for Twitter CEO and Founder Jack Dorsey, next week. Lawmakers want to meet with him to go over the company’s decision to limit the spread of the Post article.

Cruz’s announcement came the same day Federal Communications Chairman Ajit Pai said he plans to clarify Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act which could limit social media companies’ protections.

Twitter claims it limited the spread of the article because it contained images that included email addresses. However, Republicans believe it’s another case of social media trying to interfere in the election and now they want to publicly find out why.
