House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) said in an interview Sunday that the Dems won’t take John Bolton to court to force him to testify.
Schiff said that he hopes the former national security adviser will have the “courage” to testify and if he doesn’t, “He will have to explain one day if he maintains that position, why he wanted to wait to put it in a book instead of telling the American people what he knew when it really mattered to the country.”
Bolton has been mentioned numerous times over the past two weeks of impeachment hearings. Schiff claims that there is already enough evidence without Bolton having to speak officially on his dealings with President Trump and Ukraine.
It’s interesting that Schiff said he hopes that Bolton has the “courage” to testify when he doesn’t have this courage himself. There have been many requests by Trump and other Republicans for Schiff to testify on whether he met with the whistleblower to make up accusations.
Schiff has denied knowing who the whistleblower is, but he also said he doesn’t want to testify. What could he be hiding? Let us know what you think in the comments.
