Solar Panel Components Have Disturbing Link as Democrats Push for New Green Deal

(UnitedVoice.com) – Democrats have been pushing hard for the Green New Deal and Joe Biden’s infrastructure plan that includes money for green energy. Now, a recent study could shed a disturbing light on some of the technology. It makes a shocking connection between an ongoing genocide and solar panels.

A Sheffield Hallam University (SHU) study released in May found that about 45% of the polysilicon needed for solar panels comes from the Xinjiang province in China. That’s the region where the Chinese government has massive camps where they’re detaining Uyghurs, who are mostly Muslim. The solar panel component comes from a forced labor camp where Uyghurs are being held.

President Biden’s climate envoy, John Kerry, has even admitted that the Chinese are using slave labor for the panels.

The study also found that 95% of solar modules rely on polysilicon.

The US has taken a hard stance against the Chinese for its detainment and abuse of the Uyghur population. However, pushing forward with the Green New Deal, knowing how these panels are produced, is a contradiction of the government’s position. By investing in solar energy companies, the Democratic Party (and the US if they get their way) would essentially be sponsoring the ongoing genocide in China.
