(UnitedVoice.com) – For the last few years, Antifa riots have become a significant problem for the country. The events have cost the American people billions of dollars. Now, lawmakers in one state are hoping to cut the group off at the knees.
On February 16, Montana state Rep. Braxton Mitchell (R) introduced a motion to classify Antifa as a terrorist organization. He said he wants to “send a message” that the state “won’t tolerate” them. In an interview with Fox News, the 20-year-old freshman lawmaker said he wants to ensure “political violence” isn’t normalized, and wants the country to move away from it.

Former President Donald Trump wanted to classify Antifa as a terrorist group because there isn’t a current designation for domestic terrorist organizations. But, it’s possible states could get around this while federal lawmakers are sitting on their hands and not keeping America safe. Perhaps this motion in Montana will force Congress into action. Only time will tell.
