(UnitedVoice.com) – A very decisive Supreme Court ruling was passed on June 15th, which set a precedent for the LGBT community. Certainly, this is a heavily Left-leaning concern in America. Who could have possibly led the charge?
The Trump Administration’s Conservative Justice, Neil Gorsuch, authored the ruling. It prevents employees from being fired based on sexual orientation or gender identity. The decision referenced “Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964,” which specifically protects employees from discrimination on the basis of “race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.” However, Title VII offers no particular protections for the LGBT community. Chief Justice John Roberts backed the ruling, which passed 6-3.

The Trump Administration has shown support for the LGBT community before. Its actions include a global campaign to decriminalize homosexuality, the nomination of an openly gay judge to the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals, and the appointment of people such as Justice Gorsuch, who has advocated for the community in the past. Yet, many still target our President for being anti-LGBT. Doesn’t really fair now, does it?
