(UnitedVoice.com) – Oprah Winfrey has a new Apple TV+ series called “The Oprah Conversation,” and she’s already causing quite the stir.
In an episode that aired last Thursday, July 30, Oprah gave the audience a lecture about their “white privilege.” She said the term means white people have an advantage in life over people of color in all situations. And, she suggested all whites were racist.
Her controversial statements didn’t sit well with many Conservatives, including Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). Thursday morning, he tweeted that Oprah’s comments were “utter, racist BS.”
Billionaire Oprah lectures the rest of us:
"You still have your whiteness. That's what the term 'white privilege' is. It means that whiteness still gives you an advantage, no matter.”
What utter, racist BS. https://t.co/02PADVJkrZ

It’s really disappointing that Oprah would make such divisive statements. She’s an extremely powerful media mogul with a lot of influence in the country. She’s also a Black woman who happens to be a billionaire. It’s rich — pun intended — that a billionaire is lecturing anyone about privilege. She’s the epitome of it. And, she made her money mainly from her loyal white audience. Now she’s turning on them.
Sen. Cruz is right. Oprah’s sentiments were both racist and BS.
