(UnitedVoice.com) – Even as the world fights to contain a deadly pandemic, terrorists continue to spread hateful religious and political agendas around the world. The largest US military base in Afghanistan came under heavy rocket fire just a day after the Afghan government released 100 Taliban prisoners.
Five rockets were fired at Bagram airfield early this morning. There were no casualties or injuries. Our #ANDSF partners are investigating the incident.

The prisoner release was a part of a US-Taliban deal to bring peace to a warring Afghanistan. The deal was signed in February of this year. It also called for the release of 1,000 government workers who were being held hostage.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks hoping to disrupt the peace negotiations. Last month, ISIS sent a newsletter to its followers telling them to stay away and avoid any further terrorist attacks in Europe because of COVID-19.
The newsletter said that the “healthy should not enter the land of the epidemic and the afflicted should not exit.”
Military officials reported no casualties or structural damage on Bagram Air Base but say they are investigating the rocket attack.
