(UnitedVoice.com) – The Republican National Convention (RNC) kicks off on Monday night, August 24, and Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel says it’ll be a celebration of America. The GOP wants to contrast their message with the Democrat convention last week, which they say was a dark fictional narrative driven by Hollywood elites. Instead, McDaniel says surprises are in store, and those tuning in can expect to hear from real Americans.

This week, Republicans want to paint a bright portrait of successes from the last four years, with the theme “Honoring the Great American Story.” Republicans hope to refocus the campaign on the achievements of the president. To do so, they’ll rely on front-line workers fighting COVID-19, moms, veterans, manufacturing workers, small business owners, and law enforcement officials who represent the policies and the struggles America faces today with social issues.
On Friday, August 21, Trump said Democrats held a dark and angry convention. He added that it was a four-day attack on America as a racist and terrible country that needs to be redeemed. In contrast, each night the theme of the Republican convention is:
- “Land of Promise” – Monday
- “Land of Opportunity” – Tuesday
- “Land of Heroes” – Wednesday
- “Land of Greatness” – Thursday
On Thursday evening, August 27, the president will accept the nomination on the South Lawn of the White House.
