This Senator Is Picking Up Where Trump Left Off

( – Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) was the first member of his chamber to state that he was going to object to the certification of some states’ votes in the 2020 election. He has objected to all of President Joe Biden’s cabinet secretaries and recently a conservative website said that he’s risen to the top of the GOP.

Senator Hawley spent a lot of time recently railing against Biden’s nominees’ support of “forever wars” in the Middle East. However, on April 8, the Washington Examiner explained that the senator is more than just a guy who is objecting to the Democratic president, he also seems to have taken the reins from former President Donald Trump and become the top populist lawmaker in the country.

Hawley supported a $15-per-hour minimum wage for certain businesses, the $2,000 stimulus checks, a secure border and other important policies that impact the American people. Recently, he said he plans to go after corporations.

Nobody can ever replace Trump, but Hawley has clearly learned from the former president. At the end of the day, he’s another example of the enduring mark the 45th president has left on his party and the country.
