Former Democratic Presidential Candidate Says Goodbye to Party
(UnitedVoice.com) – Former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard was once a rising star in the party. She ran for the presidential nomination in 2020 but ultimately dropped out and supported Joe Biden. Two years later, she’s decided to break away from the party completely.
On October 11, Gabbard announced she was leaving the Democratic Party. The former Hawaiian lawmaker said she could no longer remain when she believes it’s become too radical. In a video posted on Twitter, she explained her choice.
I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, are… pic.twitter.com/oAuTnxZldf

The former congresswoman accused the Democratic party of “racializing every issue [and] stoke anti-white racism.” She claimed they are trying to undermine American freedoms and are “hostile” to those who practice a religious faith. Gabbard accused the Left of protecting criminals while attacking police, blamed them for the border crisis, and said they’re dragging the country toward nuclear war.
Gabbard called on other moderate Democrats to join her in leaving the party she describes as an “elitist cabal of warmongers” if they don’t support its current platform.
The former congresswoman’s decision to leave the party is no surprise to those who closely follow politics. Gabbard hasn’t supported the group’s direction for quite some time. In fact, she was the only primary Dem who the Democratic National Convention (DNC) didn’t invite to participate in 2020.
What do you think about Gabbard leaving the party?
