(UnitedVoice.com) – On Monday, September 14, President Donald Trump told “Fox & Friends” he believes a COVID-19 vaccine is just weeks away from FDA approval. States already started preparing sites to administer the immunization earlier this month. Now, his administration has a plan for how they’ll distribute the impending treatment.
On Wednesday, the CDC, Health and Human Services (HHS), and Department of Defense (DOD) released the administration’s comprehensive plan to get the vaccine to providers free of cost. HHS Secretary Alex Azar announced it on Twitter:
We have been laying the groundwork for months to distribute and administer a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine as soon as it meets FDA’s gold standard.
Today we released the distribution strategy and a planning playbook for jurisdictions from @CDCgov: https://t.co/enZmLBHxNF pic.twitter.com/LA2IBKwbXT

Earlier this year, President Trump made it clear he wants every American who wants the vaccine to be able to get it, no matter their economic status. This plan ensures they will. Providers that have signed up with the US COVID-19 Vaccination Program will receive the vaccine at no charge. The CDC said it will release more information about how that’s going to work soon.
According to reports, the vaccine will be given to people who are at the highest risk of contracting the virus first, including health care workers.
The speed in which President Trump was able to pull the vaccine program together is yet another example of how much he values the American people.
We will bring you more details as they become available.
