Trump and Putin: Badass or Badness?

Trump and Putin: Badass or Badness
Trump and Putin: Badass or Badness

The way the democrats are talking, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin are just days away from picking out china patterns together. This is in the wake of statements Trump made at the NBC candidate’s forum on Wednesday night when he said of Putin, “He’s been a leader far more than our president has been a leader.”

After all the gnashing of teeth and tearing of clothes subsided, a lot of folks were left feeling indignant about what’s been perceived as some kind of love-fest between Trump and Putin. So why is it so difficult for the democrats to understand what Trump’s doing and why?  Who doesn’t get the old adage about “…keeping your friends close and your enemies closer”?

Regardless of all the despicable ways Putin has achieved respect—on the world stage and by his people—he does get respect. He’s seen as a tough-guy and a badass.  Obama is not. I think Trump just wants to put a little badass back in the office of the president.
