(UnitedVoice.com) – During Wednesday’s coronavirus White House task force briefing, President Trump opened with a strong message directly aimed at criminals looking to exploit the pandemic situation.
Joined by Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Attorney General William Barr, President Trump sent a direct warning to drug cartels that the United States was launching counternarcotics operations to combat illegal drugs coming into the country and protect the American people.
The President told reporters that additional military assets would be deployed in the western hemisphere. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley echoed similar sentiments warning Mexican cartels that the US military would defend the country “regardless of the cost.”
