Trump Unites GOP While Contrasting Devastating Democratic Policies

( – Since inauguration day, the media has been working overtime to portray an image that the GOP is deeply divided over former President Donald Trump. All the while, the news rarely mentions the devastating consequences of the decisions coming from President Joe Biden’s pen or the policies that Democrats are struggling to pass in Congress thanks to moderates within their own ranks.

On Sunday, February 28, Donald Trump showed why the GOP is firmly united behind his leadership.

Trump publicly spoke for the first time since leaving office at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). For over an hour, he talked about fighting side-by-side with fellow Republicans and said what the conservative movement that started four years ago is far from over. The former president also wasted no time pointing out the devastating consequences of the Democratic White House and Congress’ policies.

Unity on Display

Trump made it clear that he was not interested in starting a third party. The media pushed the narrative after several Republicans voted to impeach Trump in the House and convict him in the Senate for insurrection. However, Trump pushed back and said dividing “our beloved” Republican Party would only serve to help Democrats ensure the GOP never wins. He called the claim “fake news” and sarcastically said, “wouldn’t that be brilliant?”

While Trump reassured conservatives he’s here to stay in the Grand Old Party, he was overly optimistic and hopeful about the future of the party and the country. The former president reminded the conservative audience why 2022 and 2024 are vital to America’s future and hinted that he might run in 2024 without specifically commenting one way or another.

Biden Is Bad For America

The former president touched on several issues important to conservatives that Biden and the Democratic-led Congress are attempting to push on America. He rebuked them all, calling their first month in office a failure. On immigration, Trump said that Biden is inviting the world’s problems into America that our nation can’t afford. He emphasized that Biden is creating an unnecessary immigration crisis that benefits human traffickers, cartels, and the “most evil people on the planet.”

Trump said no one knew how bad Biden would be on energy. The former president received a standing ovation when he warned against Biden’s policies that threaten to destroy women’s sports.

Every year, the conference conducts a straw poll of attendees. This year, 97% approved of Trump’s job performance as president, and 68% said he should run in 2024. Those are mighty impressive numbers.
