Yet another few of Donald J. Trump’s attention-drawing tweets are riling the moods of both celebrities and the general public. This time, it isn’t fake news or even American politics gaining his wrath; it’s Morning Joe co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough.
“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”
MSNBC itself got involved in the celebrity feud, replying only that, “It’s a sad day for America when the president spends his time bullying, lying and spewing petty personal attacks instead of doing his job.”
Then, a tweet from Brzezinski of a Cheerio box with the message, “Made For Little Hands”
The firestorm continued on unhindered, with celebrities firing shots at the POTUS one after the other.
From Chelsea Handler, a comment on Trump’s own wives.
“Like every woman you’ve married hasn’t had a face lift.”
A second tweet tossed salt in the wound.
“U should also get one. And a body lift. And yes, w/this duck, it’s ok to man shame.”
Chrissy Teigen jumped in for her own round, suggesting that the POTUS had no grasp of common decency and labeling the behavior “insane.”
“You are a national embarrassment. It’s like you have no idea how to even fake being a normal human being. You are the proud type of insane.”
Her husband publicly agreed, posting that, “America elected a very s–tty person to be President.”
Legend also quipped about Melania Trump’s budding bullying program, drawing connections between what he saw as Trump’s own bullying and the program’s beginnings.
“I see Melania’s campaign to end cyber bullying is off to a slow start.”
Though replies from his supporters came, several surprising sources were quiet on the Twitter battlefront. That led actor Josh Gad to point out that there was little saving grace in the tweets.
“My faith in this country forces me to believe that even most of @realDonaldTrump’s supporters think his tweets this morning are in bad taste”
The next day, a final tweet from Trump sealed the deal.
“Watched low rated @Morning_Joe for first time in long time. FAKE NEWS. He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show”
This isn’t the first time Trump has penned a talk show or talk show host as a source of fake news. The POTUS has also directed his anger at The View and several other high-profile shows.
