(UnitedVoice.com) – Like many of us, Tulsi Gabbard has had enough of Hillary Clinton running her mouth. On Wednesday, January 22, she filed a defamation lawsuit against the former first lady.
Back in October 2019, Clinton was on a podcast hosted by David Plouffe, a former adviser to Barack Obama. During that interview, she was asked about Gabbard and said, “I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate. She’s the favorite of the Russians.”
While Clinton never specifically named Gabbard, it was obvious to many that was who she was talking about. Nick Merrill, a spokesman for Clinton, was asked during an interview with CNN if Hillary was referring to Gabbard, he said: “if the nesting doll fits.” Referencing the type of dolls that have been popular in Russia for centuries.
The lawsuit, which was filed in the Southern District of New York, claims that Gabbard has suffered more than $50 million in damages.
Merrill responded by saying that the lawsuit is “ridiculous.”
It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out and as always, we’ll keep you updated.
