(UnitedVoice.com) – On Thursday, October 1, Bloomberg broke the news that White House adviser Hope Hicks tested positive for the novel coronavirus. President Donald Trump called into Fox News’ “Hannity” in the evening and said he was waiting for his test results at that time. A few hours later, the American public learned about their commander-in-chief’s health.
The president tweeted just before 1 a.m. and revealed the results of his and the first lady’s test results.
Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!

Trump and the FLOTUS will be in quarantine during this time. The campaign events that were scheduled for the weekend have been postponed while the president recovers from the illness.
Melania tweeted an update Friday morning:
Thank you for the love you are sending our way. I have mild symptoms but overall feeling good. I am looking forward to a speedy recovery.

Not much is known about the president’s current symptoms, but it’s important to keep in mind that most people recover from this virus. In fact, according to Yale Medicine, roughly 80% of the COVID-19 cases are mild.
Update: President Trump went to Walter Reed Hospital in Maryland on Friday evening. The White House said it’s just a precaution and he will be there for a few days. Officials say the commander-in-chief will work from the presidential office inside the medical center during his stay.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the first family. We will keep you informed as more details become available.
