UPDATE: Suspected Serial Killer Arrested While on the Hunt

(UnitedVoice.com) – The residents of Stockton, California, have been living in fear for more than a year as a suspected serial killer eluded police. Law enforcement believes the terror is finally over after they took a suspect into custody.

In the early morning hours of October 15, the police stopped 43-year-old Wesley Brownlee and arrested him. Later that day, Stockton Police Chief Stanley McFadden announced they’d finally caught the man they suspected of multiple murders in the area. Not only did they capture him, but detectives believe they stopped him while he was hunting for his next victim.

Police zeroed in on Brownlee after sharing a surveillance video of a man they believed was the suspect in the murders of six men. Five victims lost their lives in Stockton, and one died in Oakland, all killed by gunshots.

Once officers had a suspect, they began watching him. Early Saturday morning, reports indicated Brownlee began “hunting.” Law enforcement alleged he wore black clothing, wore a mask around his neck, and carried a firearm.

Authorities identified the victims as Juan Miguel Vasquez Serrano, 40; Paul Alexander Yaw, 35; Jonathan Hernández Rodriguez, 21; Lorenzo Lopez, 54; Juan Cruz, 52; and Salvador William Debudey Jr., 43. Police don’t have a motive for the crimes yet.
