(UnitedVoice.com) – Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu raised eyebrows recently when he seemed to vanish for almost two weeks. Questions about where he could be swirled. Now he’s resurfaced, but that’s only left people with more questions.
On Thursday, March 24, Shoigu was seen for the first time since March 11. He’s credited with helping Russian President Vladimir Putin create the military strategy that followed the invasion of Ukraine. However, his latest appearance was not in person, but rather on a bizarre video released by the Russian government.
In the video, Putin is holding a conference with his close advisors and Shoigu was shown as one of the people who attended the meeting. Twitter users pointed out that the video seemed glitchy.
After long rumors that Putin decided to remove Shoigu forever, they decided to show him on TV as participant of the government meeting. However, viewers noticed oddities during the broadcast. Pay attention to the top left corner. pic.twitter.com/xZD1wFCbJU

Journalists asked the Kremlin where Shoigu had been after speculation that he’d been out of the spotlight because he’d been punished for the Russian losses in Ukraine. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed the questions, saying he’s busy because there’s a “special military operation going on.” He said now isn’t the moment for the defense minister to be parading in front of the media. Later the same day, the Defense Ministry said there’d been a phone call between Shoigu and Armenian official, Suren Papikian.
Do you think Russia is hiding something?
