Victims' Families Slam Joe Biden for His Behavior

(UnitedVoice.com) – On Sunday, August 29, President Joe Biden met with the families of the 13 service members who died in the ISIS-K terrorist attack in Kabul, Afghanistan. The meeting took place before the dignified transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. Some of the Gold Star families were not happy with the president’s behavior during either event.

Corps Lance Cpl. Kareem M. Nikoui’s mom, Shana Chappell, lashed out at Biden on Facebook. She accused the president of rolling his eyes while she had words with him about her 20-year-old son during their meeting. Chappell also said blood was on his hands.

Mark Schmitz, father of Marine Lance Cpl. Jared Schmitz, 20, and Darin Hoover, dad of 31-year-old Marine Staff Sgt. Taylor Hoover said their meeting with Biden “didn’t go well.”

Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Rylee McCollum, 20, was just three weeks away from becoming a father. His wife, father, stepmom, and two sisters traveled to Dover to receive his remains. His sister Roice McCollum told the Washington Post that his widow, Jiennah, was the only one to stay to meet the president. The young woman reportedly said Biden spent too much time talking about his deceased son, Beau, who served in the military before dying of brain cancer in 2015.

Roice said the president couldn’t mess up the way he did and just apologize. “This did not need to happen, and every life is on his hands,” she asserted.
