(UnitedVoice.com) – Russia has been building up its military on the border of Ukraine for weeks. There are reportedly as many as 175,000 troops on the frontier between the two nations. Now, there’s speculation Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to invade — again.
On December 3, The Washington Post reported US intelligence is warning that the Russians are planning a massive military invasion. An unnamed US official told the newspaper the military offensive could happen as soon as 2022, with more than twice the force the Russians used over the spring during its exercises near the borders.

The report came out just days before President Joe Biden had a phone call with Putin. After the call, the White House said the US will sanction Russia economically if it invades Ukraine. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told reporters the POTUS said America is ready to take actions now that it didn’t take in 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine.
Biden was the vice president the last time Putin invaded the country. For four years when former President Donald Trump was in office, the Russians didn’t attack Ukraine at all, but now that Democrats are back in charge Putin is once again making military moves. Could it be they don’t fear Biden’s threats of financial sanctions?
