White House Denies Censorship Despite Alleged Mountains of Proof

(UnitedVoice.com) – Twitter CEO Elon Musk started releasing company files revealing what was happening in the company in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election and during his presidency. Conservatives allege the information is proof President Joe Biden was trying to control what people and organizations could say on the social media site. The White House continues to deny the claims.

On December 9, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told the press that the administration had nothing to do with Twitter’s content moderation decisions. She claimed they “were not involved.” She denied anyone contacting Jim Baker, the former FBI general counsel who worked for the company.

The first batch of the Twitter files outlined the decision by the company to suppress the Hunter Biden story prior to the 2020 election. The second discussed so-called “blacklisting” within the company. None of the documents showed there was any government involvement in either case. According to the Washington Examiner, a lawsuit filed by the New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA) showed that there had been some communication between the White House, CDC, and Twitter during the pandemic about misinformation online, but it’s not clear that it led to any actual censorship.

What do you think about the possibility that the White House may have asked Twitter to censor Americans?
