Karine Jean-Pierre Bashed for Bald-Faced Lie

(UnitedVoice.com) – The border crisis is one of the biggest issues of Joe Biden’s presidency. Millions of immigrants have poured across the southern border since he took office in January 2021. Recently, the White House press secretary made an incorrect statement, and Conservatives are calling her out.

On Wednesday, November 30, reporter Peter Doocy of Fox News asked Karine Jean-Pierre if the president would accept an invitation from House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to visit the southern border with him. The reporter pointed out that Biden has never visited as president. The press secretary boldly responded, “He’s been there. He’s been to the border. And since he took office…” Doocy interrupted her and asked when the president went to the frontier, but she ignored the question.

In reality, Biden has absolutely not been to the border while he has been in office. In fact, though he traveled extensively while serving as vice president to deal with increased migration from Central America, Snopes reported he hasn’t been to the southern border in 14 years. The last time he went there was when he and Barack Obama were campaigning in 2008. Conservatives quickly pointed out that the press secretary’s statement was false.
