(UnitedVoice.com) – Earlier this week, a whole new fire was lit when reports of a child with COVID-19 getting worse after taking ibuprofen hit the internet. Suddenly, those who thought they’d prepared themselves were wondering if they had instead, made a bad situation worse. Some may have even removed the supposedly offending medication from their homes.
Then the World Health Organization (WHO) took to Twitter.

As of now, the WHO is NOT recommending stopping the use of this over-the-counter NSAID. In fact, they stated they’re unaware of any studies or other quality data that would suggest such a thing.
Just an important reminder: don’t get your information from social media. Instead, look to authorities like the CDC and the WHO.
