(UnitedVoice.com) – Whoopi Goldberg is widely regarded as a staunch liberal. Anyone who has ever tuned into “The View” has probably seen her pushing some Democratic talking point. During former President Donald Trump’s administration, she regularly attacked his character and his administration.
Though she claims to be a loving progressive and attacks others as racist or whatever other “ist” she is feeling at that moment, her actions suggest otherwise. She been embroiled in a number of scandals in recent years. Most recently, she had to apologize for using a racist slur.
Latest Racist Remarks
On March 15, Goldberg was discussing the Stormy Daniels/Trump scandal on “The View” when she said, “The people who still believe that he got, you know, gypped somehow, will still believe that he cared enough… about his wife to pay that money from his personal thing.”
Later, Goldberg created an apology video that was uploaded onto the television show’s Twitter account. In the message, she apologized for using the word “gypped,” which is a racial slur against Romanis because of its association with “Gypsies.”

Goldberg blamed her remarks on her age, saying that she used to use certain words when she was a kid but knows they aren’t acceptable now. She told viewers that she should have said “cheated” and claimed she was “really, really sorry.”
The recent remark is just one of a series of problematic things Goldberg has said or done. The most notable issue she had was when she made anti-Semitic remarks on national television. In 2022, ABC suspended the actress after she said the Holocaust wasn’t “about race.”
Goldberg claimed the Nazis and Jews were both white. “This is white people doing it to white people. Y’all go fight amongst yourselves,” she said.
After an apology and suspension, Goldberg was back on the ABC show. But that didn’t mean she was done insulting people. During an interview with The Sunday Times, Goldberg once again stood on a mountain of wrong and doubled down on claims the Holocaust wasn’t about race.
In reality, Adolf Hitler was trying to create a so-called master race when he killed more than 6 million Jews. He also killed gypsies, the people Goldberg is accused of insulting this time around.
ABC has continued to employ Goldberg, despite her repeated problematic remarks. The network has not spoken out about her last bout of racism, nor has it suspended her. Apparently, apologizing, then repeating the same behavior is good enough for network execs.
