Winter Storm Could Cause Problems for Thanksgiving Travel

Winter Storm Could Cause Problems for Thanksgiving Travel

If you’re traveling for Thanksgiving, you might want to consider other plans because a snowstorm is moving through the Midwest and Great Lakes.

The storm, which has been named Winter Storm Dorothy by the Weather Channel, is bringing heavy snow and wind to Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota and Nebraska. At least eight states will have received six inches of snow or more by Wednesday night. Strong winds are also expected to affect large parts of the Midwest.

In many areas, drivers are being asked to stay off the roads. If you live in one of these areas, please listen to the advice of your local Highway Patrol. No turkey is worth risking a car accident!
