Perimeters SET Against Vladimir Putin – The Final Stand?
(UnitedVoice.com) – The Russian war on Ukraine doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon. Russian President Vladimir Putin has made tremendous gains in the Donbas region. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is once again speaking out about the leader of the invading military.
On Tuesday, May 31, Newsmax’s Rob Schmitt sat down with Zelenskyy for an interview in Kyiv. The Ukrainian leader thanked the journalist for traveling to the capital city to conduct the interview, saying it’s not an easy journey to make. He went on to say the situation in the eastern part of the country is very difficult because they’re losing up to 100 soldiers every day as the military works to stop Russia from advancing.
Zelenskyy added that his country is a “defensive perimeter” between Putin’s global ambitions and the rest of the world. He called it unnatural and unconventional but said the “physical barrier [is] made up of our people.” The Ukrainian president told Schmitt that he believes “God is on [Ukraine’s] side,” and Putin represents a “dark power” that won’t stop with his country.
During the interview, Zelenskyy also made it crystal clear that Ukraine is not going to concede any territory to Russia. He said the country’s territories are their independence and sovereignty. He called out the Russian leader for his “weakness,” saying, “If [he] can’t [negotiate], then it’s a weakness.”
