(UnitedVoice.com) – At the beginning of the year, one of the defendants in the Georgia election case involving former President Donald Trump filed a motion accusing Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis of having an affair with one of the prosecutors on the case. The DA has accused the attorney of racism. OutKick Founder Clay Travis claimed Willis could face criminal charges.
Attorneys for former Trump campaign official Michael Roman claimed Willis is having an affair with Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade. He’s a private attorney Willis hired to help on the case. Roman’s attorney argued the prosecutor had no experience with felony cases but has been paid approximately $650,000 in legal fees. The lawyer claimed the prosecutor took Willis on lavish vacations using the money he earned working on the case. While he didn’t provide proof that the two were in a relationship, he alleged other people confirmed it.
On January 14, Willis gave a speech at Big Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, where she attended a service to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr., and accused Roman’s legal team of racism. She didn’t confirm or deny the alleged affair and only called Wade a “great friend.” Willis said she hired three attorneys to help her: a white woman, a white man, and Wade, a black man. She said Wade has experience “as a prosecutor, a criminal defense lawyer, special assistant attorney general” and was hired by a Republican in another county who paid him almost double what she is paying him.
Clay Travis stopped by Fox News’ “The Faulkner Focus” and said he thinks Willis might be facing criminal charges because of “impropriety.” He pointed out that the DA tried to call the allegations against her and Wade “race-based” because the heat is only on them. The OutKick Founder responded to this by questioning if she slept with the other two, as well, since the alleged affair is what is stirring the pot.
According to Clay, the alleged impropriety isn’t the only issue that could lead to problems for Willis. He claims that the fact she “broke up” Wade’s marriage after she hired him, slept with him, and paid him exuberant amounts of money could also come back to bite her.
