Megyn Kelly Takes Aim at Taylor Swift, Calls for Boycott

(UnitedVoice.com) – Pop superstar Taylor Swift has amassed tens of millions of fans across the United States. Recently, she’s made headlines because of her Eras Tour and new relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. A former Fox News host is now calling on Americans to boycott the singer.

Megyn Kelly, host of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” recently went on a rant about the “Bad Blood” singer. She was angry about Swift attending a comedy show meant to generate aid for civilians in Gaza. The comedian hosting the show was Ramy Youssef. The money from the event was given to the non-governmental organization (NGO) American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA).

ANERA’s website states that it does not coordinate or work with Hamas, a group designated as a terrorist organization by the US government. Hamas attacked Israel on October 7 and killed more than 1,000 innocents, including many young people who were at a music festival.

Kelly said the singer “has been out there tweeting about her support for the LGBTQ community,” which is not respected by many people in the Islamic faith.

The former Fox News host slammed Swift for her alleged support of women but opposition to GOP lawmakers “who don’t support women the way [Swift] sees fit.” She asked if Swift knows how Hamas terrorists treat women. Kelly declared the singer doesn’t know anything. She called on people to boycott the pop star’s “events until she issues [an apology] because attending this thing was wrong.”

Kelly’s podcast guest, Andrew Klavan, said he didn’t think Swift was going to face any consequences for her actions because she’s “too powerful.” He went on to say she is a “likable pop star,” but he doesn’t turn to pop stars to receive his news about politics.

There’s no indication Kelly’s call for a boycott worked.
